This small friendly 4 star hostel has recently been upgraded during 2006. Although now privately run, it is also affiliated to the SYHA. Member of VisitScotland (Scottish Tourist Board - 4 Stars). Set in the small scenic village of Helmsdale, halfway between Inverness and John o'Groats.

It is ideal for cycling, coastal walks, hill walks and bird watching.
Backpackers, birdwatchers and families are welcome.
