So I have had a bit of time to look around Edinburgh.. and it is definitely a beautiful city.. it's amazing really. So much history and old architecture.. everywhere!

I got to see two of my awesome mates that I met in Australia this weekend. And it was so great to see them :). It was like old times in Melbourne when I first met them. We went out a bit and just wandered around the town, and since they weren't really familiar with the city either, we got to explore together.

The streets here are mostly cobblestone.. tough on the feet, and even more so when there happens to be all HILLS in this place! It's pretty crazy. I think alot of people would actually have a hard time walking the town, and would have to rely on taxis.. It's definitely a workout getting around the place. I guess it's a good thing because of all the deep fried marsbars that people eat.. haha.. yeah that's right deep fried mars bars! Supposedly it's a Scottish thing.. so I had to try one.. and it was actually REALLY good! I was surprised.. It could probably have given me a heart attack with all the grease and such, but I actually liked it..

There is so much to see here really, so I haven't made it to all the places I wanted unfortunately.. I've gone to the National Galleries and seen some original Rembrandts.. The Edinburgh Castle which is beautiful but perhaps not worth the 11 pound (22 dollar) entrance fee... walked along the Royal Mile and along the main shopping street of course.. and spent half of my time just wandering around..

Last night, steph, vick, and myself all went on a ghost tour that goes underground.. it was pretty interesting.. and some people freaked out half way and had to be escorted out! Vicky was clutching on to my arm REALLY hard.. might get a bruise there.. haha.. It first went around the city and the guide told us the history of the place.. and then, it went underground into old storehouses and the guide told us stories in the dark.. supposedly they are definitely haunted, and the tv show, Most Haunted has actually gone down there and has documented cases of attacks on people, and one of their own cameramen was attacked and everything... It was pretty interesting. Unfortunately nothing happened while we were down there.. I realised that I am not exactly the kind of person that gets scared and screams or jumps.. It seemed every time everyone else did I was fine..

The next morning we went out for breakfast, and Vicky had haggis with her Scottish breakfast, so I tried some, and to be honest it's not really that bad. I thought it would be disgusting, but it tastes pretty good.. Sort of reminded me of meatloaf.. Although, I don't think I would want to eat it every day... Just the idea of it is kinda gross...

Steph and Vicky left, and now I have moved on.. through York and back to London. Just waiting for my flight to Berlin. I can't wait to get over to Germany.. I've never been there so it should definitely be a good experience. Speak soon everyone! I will update you all soon!
