Bothwell Castle complete with THE castle, Roman baths from 100 a.d. and a great parkland course, was the final stop of the "Chairman's/Scottish" tour. As the golf came to a close, nearly so came Mike's chance for a shared title as the course favoured a fade and I used it to make up the point defecit and more. However, the last was stroke 10, a challenging par-5 with water in front - the burn A burn is a watercourse (in size from a large stream to a small river). After two great shots, he sclaffed his 3 just short of the burn while I was recovering from a second shot that ended up "in the furniture store" to the right. But first a word on Chester. Chester wasn't really a surprise. One of those places that seems always to be described as a lovely little city. We expected something pretty good and we were pleasantly surprised to find our expectations met. We can't really talk with any knowledge about the nightlife but it is a very pleasant place to walk around. It is one of the only cities in England that still has its complete wall. You can walk around the top of the wall and receive a potted history of the city from the signage, so we did. The history dates back to the Romans and there is still an amphitheatre in place. Its been flippin ages since we updated our page here, and there's a really good reason for this..............we basically haven't had the time as we've been running about like blue arsed flies looking after our new baby daughter Beth. The last we saw you here was at our friends Craig n Morverns' wedding way back in autumn of 2006, and from that point on, Shaz just kept on getting bigger and bigger and bigger, till she finally exploded and and out popped a little baby girl! Awww, bless! Beth was born on the 23rd January - 4 weeks early- and she weighed in at six pounds and one ounce.
