Friday May 29th we arrived at 5:30am which is actually 2:30am our time. 6 hours on an airplane with some local Scots men getting pissed drunk on the airplane and making a lot of noise. Needless to say we did not sleep because of this and because I got the worst case of 'jimmy legs' which kept Chris up. All I could think was, I am becoming more like my mom every day and being a caged bear on the airplane proved that fact to Chris and I.
We waited at the airport waiting for someone to pick us up and an hour later we realised in the emails that the team thought we were coming in at 5pm instead of am. So, not really knowing where we were staying we hopped into a taxi and head to the first of two possible placed...Aberfoyle or Stirling.
Half hour drive later and two very car sick people we pulled into Aberfoyle. Looking for a hotel sign stating Trochasser Gate, we pulled around and corner and saw the team heading out for the day of fishing. Thank god luck was on our side because if we were 5 more mintues, we would not have run into them on the road and would have never found the place we were stays. You see, the hotel is actually a house and Trochasser Gate is the name on the door, which we would have never seen from the car.
The days so far have been spent with Chris fishing all day, me enjoying the sights, such as Zip lining on the UK's longest Zipline and fishing some amazing waters. It has been a very enjoyable trip so far.
Tomorrow the team might have a day off so Chris and I are hoping we will be off to Stirling to see the Castle and Sir Willam Walace momument....see we will be on the site of Braveheart where the best battle scene was ever filmed.
Friday we will be moving out of the house to Drymen where the fly fishing competitions will take place.
Hope all is well at home and we love and miss everyone. Please facebook me your email address so I write emails. I seem to have forgot my list along with a few other things...ah you gotta love traveling.
