In Search of a Chapel
With the weather cooperating and a few leftover sights from my previous walk around Holyrood Park, I decided to head back, mostly in search of St. Anthony's Chapel, which I had seen from St. Margaret's Loch but had yet to visit. I, therefore, started my journey by walking between the Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat and towards the chapel ruins.
St. Anthony's Chapel After a bit of walking, I sighted the chapel and made my way up to the ruins. Basically all that's left of the chapel is a portion of one of the walls (all that you can see in the picture). Still, the ruins were really tall (it didn't look that big from the bottom of St. Margaret's Loch, where I had previously found all the birds). As it was still a nice day outside, I decided to continue walking around the park and find other areas that I didn't see on my first visit and subsequent walks through the park to get to and from the Royal Mile.
Duddingston Loch and Village After walking down and emerging alongside Arthur's Seat, I decided to walk partially up Arthur's Seat
and see if there was something else I hadn't seen. Before making it all the way up, I decided to take a detour down one of the other paths that eventually lead me to Duddingston Loch and Village. I walked along the main street for a few minutes, but it being a small village, I soon came to the end and so turned around and decided to look at the loch for a bit. There, I found a few more birds, took a few more pictures and then started on my way back to the dorm.
