European sinks are seperatist! They have one spout for hot water and another for cold. How am I supposed to wash my hands with warm water? Well, I've figured out a way without burning myself. Collect some cold water in my cupped hands and then go to the hot water spout and top it off till it's warm... and repeat :)
So I'm in Edinburgh now. Been here since about 3pm on Wednesday. The hostel I booked here is big and not terribly busy. I've ended up with an 8 bed room all to myself for 2 straight nights. Though, there's 2 other people in the room now, last I checked. On my way into the city from the airport, it didn't impress me much. But as we got into the city center, I saw the Edinburgh Castle on it's hill and all these old style smoked brick buildings all over. I've walked all over... walked about 11 hours yesterday, including hiking a small mountian right outside of the city (Arthur's Seat I think it's called) on a whim while I had time. Saw it from a distance earlier on in the day and decided I wanted to find it and take pictures... and ended up hiking it for the view. It was an easy hike, but my knee was not happy afterwards. And then I continued to walk on it for a few more hours. I've been slightly limping all day today from it.
Took a day tour up to Loch Ness and the Highlands today. On the way back, I heard a bit of rattling underneath the van but wasn't sure what it was. Barely 2 minutes later, another tour van came up along side us honking and waving up over. Freaked me out cause the vans swerved towards each other a bit in this little cherade. Turns out he exhaust pipe had come loose and was sparking on the road! Pulled over for about 20-30 mins before heading back to the city again (we were only about 20 mins away).
I've been slipping a bit of accent in my speach lately... mostly on accident.
And I think I've run out of time... so I'm finishing up here.
