Orford and the Maltings

Just off the coast from Orford there is a shingle bar called Orford Ness and we had intended to go walking on it today, but unfortunately the ferry was not running. Instead we followed a very pleasant part of the Suffolk Coast cycle trail to The Maltings at Snape, a series of concert halls, practice rooms and craft shops where the Aldeburgh Music Festival, founded by Benjamin Britten, is held each year.
