Leeds Castle
...the loveliest castle in the world
Lord Conway Leeds Castle dates back to 1119 and is one of the most beautifully situated medieval castles in England. It is projecting into its natural lake which makes it look so unique and romantic. The castle was a royal residence for six of England's medieval queens and a palace of Henry VIII. Much of the castle was restored and rebuilt in the 19th century, and many of the beautifully decorated rooms are open to the public. It took me quite a while to visit all the rooms which were open to the public and enjoy the beautiful architecture, furniture, paintings and the view out of the windows onto the lake and the parkland.
The castle is surrounded by enormous, beautiful gardens which were landscaped in the early 18th century. There are a few little streams and small ponds, one of them features a
Duckery with plenty of ducks, geese, and swans. An interesting
Aviary houses exotic bird species from across the globe. And the nearby
Maze is an ideal place to get lost.

Leeds castle website for more details about this beautiful place.
The Seven Sisters
The Seven Sisters are chalk cliffs that run east from Seaford, near Brighton. The impressive cliffs appear in a shiny white colour. This is due to the fact that the chalk is constantly being nibbled away by 30 or 40 centimetres per year since the bottom of the cliffs is exposed to the sea as the tide comes in and out.
I walked along the coast high above the sea as well as on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful view on the nearby cliffs. At the same time I could hear the squawking of gulls, the incoming waves and feel a gentle sea breeze - this was a truly memorable experience.
