“The Game” is a self-help book that a few of the boys have recently been engrossed by and obsessed with. It looks at the science of social dynamics and personal interaction (or, how blokes get laid!) On Tuesday morning I awoke to the news that overnight Aredale Secondary, the school I now work at, had burnt to the ground. Whilst word of the inferno had been slightly exaggerated, damage to more than one third of the College saw it become top story on the 6pm BBC news. The 15 year old arsonist, clearly with a bug in his bonnet, had seemingly been suitably educated in the impact of dousing a building in petrol and setting it alight. Only a charred skeleton remained.
With major floods, and now major fires, school life over here sure is interesting. Cant imagine what will happen next.
On fire over here,
