The First Post

Getting Started...

Good Evening. This is the first of hopefully many entries to my incredibly vain and pretentious travelblog - to keep you all updated on my adventures in Corsica. Admittedly this isn't the best start, what with being in a hotel in Gatwick Airport, but the important thing is that it is a start.

So, first of all an explanation of how I got this far:

I have gbeen trying to do things that I think other people want me to do, or things that I think I should be doing rather than actually what I have wanted to do for far too long now - so on New Year's Day I decided to change my life and actually travel, see something of the world. I am at a unique time where I don't actually have any ties and can just up and move away, which is preciesely what I am doing with Thomsons and going to work in Corsica as a travel rep.

Now, the other reason that I have started this ego-project is that it saves you all from those horrible mass emails that are far too long and no-one can really be arsed to read. I will be posting photos and such onec I have them and I will e-bask in your envy.

So...I fly out of Gatwick South Terminal tomorrow morning to Figari, via Marseilles and should be touching down for 18.00h local time, then it will be a whilrwind of....well I don't really know what.

I will have my mobile with me, the number is the same and I should have realtively regular access to the internet.

This will do for now, it is relatively late, considering I have a presentation to finish and a plane to catch at stupid o'clock.
