Elly's Amazing Adventure - Itinerary

All of a sudden it seems I only have 4 weeks left before I fly. The reality is really starting to hit home now!! For those of you who don’t know my plans, here is my itinerary…

Saturday 27th September
Say the hardest goodbyes to my friends who I am going to miss dreadfully. Please send me your photos!

Tuesday 30th September
Panic! Unpack and repack my bag several times. Forget passport and tickets. Cry. Say a tearful farewell and fly out from Heathrow to Singapore late evening.

Wednesday 1st October
Arrive in Singapore early evening and try to locate my hostel. Generally be overwhelmed with excitement and fear!

Friday 3rd October
Fly down to Bali for 3 weeks! Spend some well earned time relaxing, sunbathing and learning to dive.

Thursday 23rd October
Return to Singapore and cross the border into Malaysia. Travel up through the centre of the country, taking in the Cameron Highlands and Taman Negara with the intention of climbing Gunung Tahan to the island of Langkawi (almost at the Thai border) for a little R&R on the beach and hopefully a bit more diving!!

Thursday 27th November
Say goodbye to Asia for now and fly out from Singapore early evening.

Friday 28th November
Arrive in NEW ZEALAND mid morning ready to give my family the biggest hugs and kisses! I have a 23 month visa so I can be in the country for that length of time, but can only work for 12 months. Fortunately this can be spread out however I want so the ‘plan’ is to buy a car/ camper and work a bit then travel a bit and just repeat until i) I get bored, ii) I run out of money or iii) I just miss you all too much and have to come home! ;-)

Several exceedingly special people have already said that they want to come out to NZ and share my trip and I can’t wait to see them there. If anyone else fancies a holiday, let me know!!!

I can’t promise to update this everyday, write particularly eloquently or even just make plain sense in this blog, but hopefully I will manage to make you smile a couple of times and show off my photos that will apparently be amazing because I have a new idiot proof camera. I am yet to be convinced and will let you be the judge!
