Me in my uni days.
'The Journey' was conceived in a drunken state towards the end of my final year studying Marketing and Media Studies at university in Leicester.

Inspired by the epic 'Long Way Round' with Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman, my housemate and soon to become travelling companion Adam Dale and I realised the true extent of distance between the UK and China. . . ."It's a F**king long way isn't it?" I remember one of us remarking.

At the time, it seemed like a good idea, "Let's hitchike from the UK to China!" The next morning it still seemed like a good idea. By the time graduation came it still seemed like a good idea. Today it still seems like a good idea. Only Time will tell.

The Journey will see Adam and myself travel from Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) overland to Shanghai (China).
