Well I arrived safely in London on the 19th of June at 6.40pm. I am staying with Flo and Mark in Dorking. Dorking is such a beautiful place.
On the 20th I ventured into London on my own. I got off the train at Victoria station and had a nice day wandering around, I went to Buckingham palace, the Queen happened to be home, but there was no invite to come in for tea, how rude. London is awesome I love it, I am having such a wonderful time. I have found one downside to travelling on your own, no pictures of yourself at the places you are visiting, but at Buckingham Palace a lady was kind enough to take a photo of me there.
Over the weekend Flo and Mark have been taking me out we went to Brighton on Saturday afternoon, it was so cold wet and even started raining. I had the biggest coat on you can imagine to keep warm. It was a really great place to walk around so much to look at. The peeble beach was really pretty but just doesn't look right. Flo also took me to Box Hill, a very special
place for my Garandad, we climbed up to almost the top and what an awesome view we had, there is a vineyard here in Dorking called Denbies, it is the largest privately owned vineyard in all Britian and it stretches further than the eye can see. At Box Hill I placed a rose in memory of my Grandad. Mark and Flo have shown me alot of the English countryside over the weekend it has been a very relaxing but busy start to my trip, which I am loving every minute of.
Today, 23rd of June I headed back into London, this time to Waterloo station and went on the London Underground. I then wandered around to The Shakespeare Globe, Tate Modern, where I had a look at the poetry and dreams exhibition, where I saw 2 Picaso paintings. I then walked over the Millenium Bridge over to St Paul's Catherdral which took my breathe away just as much if not more than it did when I saw it last when I was 12. I sat on the steps of St Paul's and had my lunch and took lots of photo's. I went to go inside but decided I would
come back when I have more time to do that.
Well tomorrow I head off to Paris to start Leg 1 of my European journey, so had better head off to bed as I will be leaving early in the morning to get to the station to catch the Eurostar to Paris.
So far this has been such an awesome trip and week 1 isn't even over yet.
