Europe and therefore The Trip is coming to a close soon...
We made it back from Berlin to London today and are back at Alicen's cousin's place relaxing in a comfortable home for the evening.
Prague was really an incredible city. We were getting pretty tired of sightseeing and din't think we'd see anything that would really impress us anmore. But s soon as we came otu o the train station into the Old city of Prague we both pretty much gasped in awe at the buildings around us. We hadn't seenn anything quite like Prague before. Pretty incredilbe architecture, great vibe, cool people wandering about....really pleasant place.
We splurged and stayed in a proper hotel for 3 days that had a fitness center and, rndonly, a bowling alley. So we had a nice time in the hotel as well as sightseeing.
We only spent 1 full day in Berlin, staying in a hostel based on The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in the old East Berlin. surreal.
We visited Checkpoint Charlie, went to the museum there which was a massive jumble of information with seemingly no chronological order whatsoever and horrible English Translations, but a few nuggets of cool information.
We found a big chunk of the Berlin Wall, went to the Brandeburger Gate and the Reichstagg, and wandered around the new bohemia of East Berlin....lots of Art Galleries and restaurants and old, cool buildings.
today getting back to an English speaking country and know we succesfully did our European adventure is retty satisfying. Well stay here a couple more days; head into London tomorrow, big bBQ on Saturday, then flying back to Los Angeles on Sunday, then to Cabo San lucas on Monday morning, then Seattle the 17th of May.
almost done!
Here are our recent Prague and Berlin pictures.

What an epic journey you guys have had! Thanks for posting a public travel journal, it has been fun traveling with you vicariously. When you get back to SEA, are you going to... find a place to sit and, like, not budge for six months?
Enjoy the rest of your travels!
