It was nice ride from the Pennines down to Birmingham along some very good cycle paths and it was possible to get right into the centre of Birmingham using very few roads. I arrived just at 4.30 in good time to meet John off the train at New Street. We made our way to Kings Heath and had a lovely evening with Liz and Chris and James who was also able to join us for a Balti at Dawat. Myself and John enjoyed great hospitality with Liz and Chris before heading off early the next morning.

For those of you who have managed to get to this site without knowing what it is about then this is the story. My name is Jim Morrison and I am planning to do a cycle ride from John o' Groats to Land's End starting on the 13th May May. The main aim is to do the ride for its own sake but it is really great to have the opportunity to try and raise some money for a very wothwhile cause.
