Day 1 Woke up early . We are not due on the tunnel until tomorrow but Gabby is all packed up ready to go. She has been washed and provisioned . Although the provisioning did not take long due to the new Brexit rules whereby we cannot take dairy back into the EU. It feels odd to have nothing in the fridge and the larder very . We made a late decision to head off south on the day before our train crossing and booked one night at Fir Tree Falconry . The lady who took the booking offered us a night for £15 . 27 March - 30 March 2010: Saturday through Tuesday. I am consolidating the blog for the last few days in England as the number of pictures I took for these days was about the same as I took for any one day before. 27 March Saturday. We left Kent by mid-morning, headed for Bath. Despite the occasional shower, we covered the 140 miles to the Bath exit of the motorway in 2 hours. The only slght mishap was a stone hitting our windshield causing a slight chip which would cost me $45 when I turned the car in (which was cheaper that the $48 insurance would have cost me for four days). Sunday, Sept 14 - Blenheim Palace day Had a little later start today since our first stop (at Blenheim) didn't open until 10:30. The restaurant was supposed to open for bkfst at 8, which it did, with a fair selection of cold items. But, we had to request any hot items, including coffee --- which took 40 minutes to come (and about 3 or 4 requests); I gave up on ordering any type of egg (have been eating too many anyway) and had more to eat than I usually do at home - we've just gotten used to better. And certainly we ought to be able to get coffee much quicker (preferably serving ourselves right away). Well kiddies we're leaving tommorow!!! Flight is at 9:30am from Heathrow, stops in Bahrain and arrives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 10:10am their local time (8 hours ahead of us). Definately not looking forward to the flight because i'm proper scared of flying but im sure I will live. Kalms tablets at the ready! (poor Nick ;) ) It doesn't seem real that Im actually doing this... and I guess it wont hit us untill we arrive there and feel the 40 degree heat hit us and see the famous Petronas Towers :) We're staying at a hotel called City Villa www.cityvillakl.com for the first 3 nights. Ok im just really doing this as a test to see if I can figure this super confusing thing out.... Only 5 weeks to go and I feel like we have nothing sorted!! Lol. But im sure it will be alright on the night. Im sooo excited!!! 3 and a bit weeks left at work!! I cant believe I finally handed my notice in at Remploy!!
