Hen night
This was everyone having a few drinks before we headed to Nottingham The evening started with me rushing around trying to put together my outfit (pirate gear) at the last minute (as per usual) but after a good hour we headed to the Red Lion for a couple of drinks before our hummer limo picked us up at 7.30pm to head to Nottingham.
The hummer was a surprise for Ria (hen) and you should have seen her face when it turned up... well actually you should have seen all our faces, it was amazing and massive! inside it had lava lamps, blue lights, tv screens, sub woofers, and of course champange! I thought that I wouldn't like champange since I don't like wine, but it actually went down very nicely. (Expensive taste) the drive there got us all in the mood for what should be a great night out and we became like mini celebrities with everyone coming out near the pub to see the hummer, taking pictures etc.
Once we arrived in Nottingham the first stop was the waterfront bar where we met a bunch of nun's (Fancy dress) and a stag party who were dressed up as random characters, Zoro, Wrestling person and one being Jack Sparrow from
SMILE!
Having a couple of drinks before we head to Nottingham Pirates of the Carribbean who had to come and talk with us as we were in the same theme. (as you should see from the photos) after a good hour there we went to the fish bowl pub, where you can apparently buy big bowls of cocktails to share, but unfortunately we didn't get one as it was too expensive! so we headed to the pitcher and piano, which looks like a large old church/cathedral, it's amazing at night, with the lights putting shadows on the side of the building. We stayed at this place for awhile, having lots more drinks, sitting outside as it was a beautiful night talking and laughing. While we were standing in line for the bar, the song 'opps upside your head, I said opps up side your head' came on so Hayley and a few of the others sat on the floor in the middle of the que and started doing the dance (just like some of the photos in the hawaiian night). After pitcher and piano we headed to another fancy pub that had run out of all mixer drinks, but by then most of the girls were so drunk they didn't care
Zoro
We found some guys who were on a stag night dressed up as different characters. and Ria had to do a few dares as per some hen cards, Hayley had brought. Things such as getting a guy to buy her a drink, kiss a guy on the cheek and a few other things that she completed successfully!
Our next club/pub we were walking to went past McDonalds and before you knew it, we were all inside ordering food and getting the security guy to take photos 😊 Of course this was a mistake as once you've eaten there's no going back to drinking, a few of us were really tired and wanted to head home but the hen was still wanting to go, so we tried to make an effort. But just before we got to oceana (Club) all hell broke loose between some of the girls and then everyone split into different groups and we ended up walking back to Pitcher and piano trying to get some of the boyfriends to pick us up and you wouldn't believe it, but one of the girls left her phone at home, my phone was on it's last battery and Kelly's phone wasn't working! typical in a crisis!! Lined up
Everyone lined up in the Hummer. It was like a disco inside. enough to let us use their phone, and of course me being a bit tipsy I said 'top of the mornin to ya' which luckily they laughed at. So in the end we got home safe and sound, but it was definitely a crazy night that I'll always remember. x
