We went down to the Yorkshire dales for the weekend and whilst we were there we heard about this great event on the North York Moors Railway. It was the WW2 Rememberance Weekend in Pickering, it was so weird as everyone was dressed as if it was the 1940's

We went up the line to Whitby and came back through Goathland Station which was taken over by the NAFI and Dad's army camp, then to the next station where the Germans were encamped and finally back to Pickering in time for the mock air raid.

Strange weekend but well worth it, it's on the calendar for next year (16th Oct)
