Teinmouth
Today we woke up feeling much better - colds now clearing.
We drove to Teinmouth early this morning and went for a lovely walk along the Tyne River estuary. We were looking for a certain seat (weren't we Mike T.)- guess what, we found it. This seat was a memorial seat dedicated to one of Mike's aunts and her husband.
We then drove on to Whitby. Steve and I had a lovely time at Whitby. We wandered around the harbour area and along the little shops and laneways. It is a lovely place. We then boarded an old boat and had a lovely ride out through the harbour and into the North Sea. It was hot and sunny when we set out but then, when we were out at sea, it started to rain. LOL
We arrived back a little cold and wet but we really enjoyed our ride. The crew were a good bunch, full of laughs.
We then went on an adventure, looking for 'Heartbeat' country.
We drove out of Whitby and to a little town called, Goathland and found the Aidensfield Arms. How exciting!!
Sheelagh and Rosie I wish you could have joined me there for lunch, it was just as it is in the show, Heartbeat, except Gina was away today!! We really enjoyed our time here wandering around the village.
We then drove as far as York and stopped for the night.
What another great day we have had today.
I have been blogging for over 4 hours- phew! I have caught up with it all now though. Plz excuse any incorrect grammer etc. :)
