Today is our first official day in Liverpool. We had a guest lecturer at 10 who talked to us about the British education program, and that was fun. After that, Katie, Heather, Erin, Sarah, and I decided to walk to the chemist. While there, we visited the post office, McColl's, and some other random places before walking back to campus. Katie and I tried to show the girls our secret garden, but it was locked today. :(
So instead, we decided to go take a tour of the laundrette. When we left the laundrette, we ran into Dr. Scho and Dr. Salsbury, who decided they wanted a picture of us in front of the laundrette. We ended up asking this random Ball State student who was standing outside the laundrette if he wanted to take a picture with us, as he said he was trying not to be in the background. We ended up talking to him for a good fifteen minutes and still never learned his name, though we did find out that his name was Jeremy later from Faye.
After lunch, Katie and I went back to my room to fix the internet because the guy at the help desk said he had fixed it earlier that morning when he had stopped by. However, he did not fix it, so Katie and I came back to the library. This time, a different guy spent a good ten minutes trying to make the ethernet work on my computer. He told me that if I took it back to the flat right now I wouldn't even have to log in, though since we have seminar at 2:30, I am still at the library.
I am slowly getting used to the time change, and I am looking forward to exploring Liverpool. Tomorrow night, we are going to go into town and explore because it is late shopping day and everything is open till 8. Tomorrow is also our last day of classes for the week.
