Big Benview of big ben from parliament square in all its glory
Well, around 21 days to go now and nearly there with all the preparation required. I went to the local doctor last week in Ealing to check my vaccinations and what would be required for my forthcoming travels in the americas. I thought i had everything covered apart from malaria because i visited mexico and cuba last year for around 3 months and i remember having about 12 jabs over the space of 6 weeks.....anyway, had two more jabs and have now been informed that im covered for everything for about the next 5 years at least, which is nice to know. All thats left now is to visit the travel clinic and get some specialist advice on the malaria precautions for the areas im travelling to which are definately going to involve jungle, mountains, river, waterfalls, lost tribes, ravines, deserts, by canoes, sand buggys, 4x4 cars, mules, bicycles , taxis, cars, boats & ferries, chicken buses (ill come back to that later in another post when i have first hand experience) and of course my two good feet.
Just got to get a mosquito net, sleeping liner, torch/mp3 batteries, one more camera memory stick & a water filter i
believe. Have decided which clothes to pack for what should be a trip mostly within the spring/summer seasons as i pass through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brasil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia & maybe las islas de santa semana (easter island) or las islas galapagos....
Right, thats enough for now being my first posting and im now going to try to get the hang of this posting photos malarkey so everyone can see things through my eyes.
hasta luego amigos/amigas
