After leaving Church Warsop Charlotte, Kev & I drove to Sherwood Pines Forest Park where we went walking for an hour before driving to Loughborough. It was there we were spending the night with Nick (Charlotte's son) & his partner Mette who we last saw four years ago. Once more it was kisses and cuddles all round before we brought each other up to date with our relevant life events.

Then we sat down to a delicious meal; it was just beautiful. Mette, being from Denmark, had cooked us a fabulous Danish pork dish which was too 'moreish' to knock back a second helping!

In the morning we had to say our goodbyes to Nick & Mette when they headed off to work. Hopefully they will be able to visit us in Sydney before too long so that we can spend some more time together. Thanks Nick & Mette for your wonderful hospitality.

Once they'd left we were able to take our time packing up before heading off to pay a quick visit to Karen to say our goodbyes. We then dropped Charlotte off at her garage at Rearsby; another goodbye! We then called in to see Stuart

with the intention of saying another goodbye but unfortunately he wasn't home. Sorry we missed you Stuart.

Our final visit was to see Saumyra who was staying with her cousin at Wellingborough. Saumyra looked wonderful; it was such a pleasure to see her so well and happy and to catch up on some of her news before heading off towards Heathrow. We are now in a hotel close to the airport in readiness for our flight to Japan in the morning.

It's been great to spend just over three weeks in the UK, catch up with rellies and friends as well as attend the Dickens conference where there were new friends to make. Now new adventures await us in Tokyo!

Michelle & Kevin Cavanagh
We started travelblogging in 2008 when, with the parenting responsibilities of six children long-gone, we (Michelle & Kevin) left home for a three months adventure during which time we spent some of the kids inheritance! Having always loved traveling, prior to our three months away six weeks has been the longest period we've been overseas and that was mostly with kids in tow. Now officially retired (well sort of) I think we'll be taking up this traveling lark with a vengeance! ... full info
