Hiya, I know it's been a while since I've written one of these here blogs, and it's not because I don't love you, I promise! It's just not a lot has happened the last couple of weeks. I wrote you all about the rest of our adventures to Liverpool and Coventry and whatnot, and the next weekend we all stayed around Preston area to catch some relaxation. This past weekend-of which I have 5 days now, I'll explain in a bit-we went on a last minute day trip to Blackpool. I only have a few or maybe just 2 pictures of Blackpool, and I mainly focused on one building. It was a cold, rainy, foggy day that depressed the crap out of me. Blackpool is apparently a wonderful night out, and in the summer season I ... read more

Hi Everyone! I have typed up (in Microsoft word first of course) the next chapter in Cassie’s adventures Abroad! I have had a cold practically since I arrived here in England and am working really hard to get over it, but the last couple days have been a little more miserable than others, so forgive me if this entry is not as upbeat as it should be. I am still having fun, believe me!! I believe I left off in Scotland, I last talked about the amazing night we had being serenaded by traditional Scottish music. It really was amazing. Ahem, ok. Us girls then met up with the rest of the crew at our hostel, where they had been hangin’ out and meeting other hostel residents and world travelers. I am truly in love with ... read more

Hello everyone across the pond!! I have been dreadfully horrible at keeping my blog updated, I am very sorry. I will be better, I promise! Starting off here again, I am a bit upset.  I just typed up a really long blog to try to catch you all up on what has been going on, only to have it all deleted when I tried to post it. GAH!! I will try to recreate the stories, but bear with me! I have been here exactly 20 days and have had some awesome adventures already. So weird to think that so little time as passed, while at the same time I feel like I have been living here for ages! First things first… I have changed around my class schedule, so now I don’t have classes on ... read more

Hi everyone, I was going to wait to write a new blog until after I have had all of my classes for the first time, but it just so happens I have some time on my hands now!! Lets start with my class schedule...it is still a little tentative, I picked up a class on Mondays with a discussion on Tuesdays, which stinks for when I travel because I have 2 important classes on Friday I can't-and won't often miss if I can help it. I may pick up Intro to Knitting!! :) As of now, I have a class on Monday 9-11 am, Intro to Forensic Psychology Tuesday 12-1 discusion for Intro to For. Psych 3-5 Psychology of Evidence Wednesday, no classes Thursday 1-3 Applied Forensic Psychology, Offenders in Secure and Community Settings Friday 11-1 ... read more

Hey all!! I got here fine, Dublin was a blast walking around by myself for most of the day. I got to go wherever, whenever I wanted. Add that walking in to lugging my luggage up the 3 flights of stairs before realizing there was a 'lift', I was a tired girl. Got my carry on/personal item figured out thank goodness and went on a plane to Manchester, Eng. I had to pick up my online reserved train ticket and hop on the train directly from the airport. I got here, and that's when some waterworks wanted to start. Apparently I walked right by the UCLan 'buddy' sent to meet me from the International department. I didn't know if I should take a taxi ($$) or look around somewhere for a buddy, or look for a ... read more

Hi everyone, As most of you know I have been planning my study abroad trip for some time, but it is finally happening, tomorrow!! I leave the Columbus airport in the afternoon, arrive in Chicago O'Hare to wait around a bit, and fly from Chicago at 6:50 pm to Dublin, Ireland!! It's an overnight flight, so I will have keep my days and nights straight by sleeping on the plane...though we will see how much luck I have with that! I get to Ireland at 7:55 in the morning. I have to grab a bus and head into the city to my hostel where I have one of 11 beds in a female dorm-like room. My hostel is around the corner from Temple Bar, a bit of a touristy place but it has lots of pubs, ... read more

Amanda and I drove down through the borders through Dumfries and Gretna Green through Cumbria and on to Blackpool. When we got here at the hotel we had lunch at the Outside Inn, the hotel's restaurant. The whole room is made up to look like you are outside walking around a village complete with trees, waterfalls and houses and the roof was full of stars. This afternoon we enjoyed the delights of Blackpool, and if you haven't been there you are missing something! You have to see this place to believe it! A mile long promenade full of carnival atmosphere complete with rollercoasters, joy rides, fish and chip shops, amusement arcades, beach side hotels and B&B's....the list goes on and on. We went for a horse and carriage ride and wait for it....we got our fortunes ... read more

I'm really tired at the moment so this blogs going to be pretty boring. Oh by the way, I didn't take any photos at the Rebellion Fest at all incase my camera got broken. Blackpool had nothing worth taking photos of so I didn't bother. B & B Observation Now in Newcastle. Just had a read over all my other blogs and noticed a part of it has been deleted some how. I basically went into detail about B & B I stayed in. So since it's not there, I'll try and recapture the experience. The room cost £15 ($40) per night. It's probably one of the cheapest single rooms you'll find around England anywhere. When I arrived there was a lady who looked like a hooker standing across the street. Made me feel a tad ... read more

Rebellion Fest - Day 3 Day started off as it did when I arrived here. After going to the internet cafe it poured down chronically. I got completely soaked. Arrived at the Rebellion Fest completely drenched. I had to basically stay there the entire day with soaking shoes and socks. Not the most pleasent feeling I tell you. Met up with Jane and Gareth after laughing at a guy who had a t-shirt that had BAW SACK in large letters. This amused me greatly as a common insult for people in Scotland is Baw Sack. Gareth says it like every day. haha. In NZ we would say Ball Sack, but yeah. Anywho. Bands were rather shit for the majority of the day until a ska band called Spunge came on. They were cool. Played "The Land ... read more
