Charles Darwin’s house
Today we went to Charles Darwin’s house. Darwin wrote the ‘Origin of Species’ in 1859 and ‘The Descent of Man’ at his house ‘Down House’ were we went today. Darwin moved to ‘Down house’ with his wife after his voyage on the Beagle. Darwin’s theory of Evolution by natural selection is key to our understanding of the living world. Darwin did a lot of his experience in his house and garden. It was nice to be in his house and have a look around the town that he lived. It was a nice sunny day today. When we were driving home there was so much traffic and on the news there were reports of heavy traffic and accidents everywhere as it is the start of the school holidays and the 4 day long weekend for Easter so lot of people were going away for holidays.
