Looking for the Pefect Car!!

We started by just browsing on the internet Autotrader the usual, and came up with loads of different kinds of 4x4's so thought YES the one thing that's going to be relatively easy!!

After looking for a few weeks we thought we'd better start ringing a few and asking for more details so we compiled a list and started ringing round!! We wanted a 4x4 in good shape with less than 100,000 miles on the clock not too old, manual and diesel. There were quite a few possibilities and i had a list of 13 cars!!
Or so i thought, the first two calls didn't go so well, both were already sold.. Nevermind i thought on to the next one which turned out to be an automatic as did the next, still loads left i thought!! Having rung round all of them i had one left over that was suitable.. This wasn't as easy as i'd first thought..

We viewed the car and evrything seemed fine, it looked in good condition had a recent MOT and drove nicely, but what do i know.. So we asked a 'professional' who gave us a few tips.. Firstly that LandRovers were unreliable and therefore probably not our best option, and this car was a LandRover, so now left with nothing i'm panicking slightly!!

We reviewed our options, dropped the age and mileage, thinking that we are only doing a one off trip and so as long as it can do another 10 - 20,000 miles it'll be fine.. Also we've been advised that Mitsubishi's are our best bet (they used them on Long Way Round as well)..

At the moment we have one in our sights and at the moment, owned by a friend so it can't be that bad!! Fingers crossed it's the one and we should have ou car by the end of this week!! :)
