Yesterday was the first day of our Olympic 2012 adventure. We attended the Whitewater Kayaking. The venue is in Hertfordshire, about 45 north of the city. The weather was threatening to let loose all day but we manged to avoid a downpour. It was a brilliant experience even if we didn't know much about the sport. There was a commentator giving moment by moment descriptions of the athletes runs and between heats there were tutorials so everyone wwas an expert by the end of the day!
