TEDDY? I apologize but I assume everyone knows who TEDDY is. TEDDY is my life these days and so I brought him on my vacation. TEDDY is my work for those of you that aren’t familiar; you can read about it at TEDDYStudy.org if you like. This is our new bear and I am planning to show him off at a conference in a few weeks and decided to make it one of those things.
Well today Bill and I had to separate, no not forever just most of the day. He had soccer things to do and well I had to shop and drink as it turns out. I started my day with a muffin, coffee and a walk around Burlington House. I really liked the sculpture and the fountains, otherwise more just interesting as a landmark.
I made my way around the theatres; I didn’t see anything today but that is coming soon. Naturally, I made my way to a gay bar. I love the fact that bitter old queens are everywhere and they all have the same rant; it’s refreshing, kind of. I managed to make them feel bad enough to buy me a beer so
life is good. I also met a cute boy that bought me another beer, but I think he may have had ulterior motives. Fortunately, that didn’t bother me enough not to drink the beer.
I finally joined back up with the soccer boys and we went to the opening night ceremonies for the games. OMG it was freaking far away. It’s very cool that the FA (Football Association) is sponsoring and endorsing the games. After the picks for deciding which teams will start off playing each other it turned into any other gay bar only it was acceptable to see someone in the same outfit.
After a little bit of chat and S&M (stand and model) Bill and I made our way to the London Fright Fest for the 11:30 showing of Jack Brooks Monster Slayer. It was everything you would expect and a good time. I’ll leave it with that.
We discovered that it can be a bit of a challenge trying to get a cab at 1 in the morning in London on a holiday weekend. We walked and walked and walked and at a little over the half way point we managed to find
a cab. We were both so beat we probably would have taken that cab had we been 5 blocks away.
