It's been an interesting week. I've been busy but at the same time, I haven't really done a lot. Let's see if I can remember what I've been doing ....
Friday - I moved out of the horrible Kilburn hostel, which really was a hovel. Moved into the Globetrotter on the other side of London. Found out I'd been put in a room with 5 guys, but they all turned out to be great. Four Aussies and a Kiwi.
Saturday - Headed to the Imperial War Museum, which was really interesting but very sad. Had dinner at Anne-Marie's place with Bec and Roh, too. It was so nice to see friendly faces and I had a great time. It was just like old times (which, apparently, is what Bec had planned when she heard I was homesick). Arranged to get together with Bec and Roh next Saturday to go out in Soho. Can't wait! Got home from Bec's and went to the pub at the hostel to say hi to the guys. Ended up partying with them until 2am.
Sunday - Didn't do anything, really. Just chilled out at the hostel.
Monday - Pottered around London. Went to the Tate Britain and saw "The Lady of Shallott". She is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. Got a free bus ride to Trafalgar Square because I didn't have enough money left on my Oyster card. Had a ride on an old-school Routemaster bus (the double decker kind) to Tower Hill. Finally had my photo taken in front of the Tower of London. Headed to Desh's with all of my stuff. Introduced Desh to Pad Thai.
Tuesday/Wednesday -Spent two wonderful days with Hazel and Ann and the two Johns. I laughed more in those two days than I had in the previous two weeks. Ann and John are lovely and it was wonderful to spend so much time with Hazel and John. It was the best thing to cure my homesickness, because it was just like spending two days with my own parents.
Today -I was going to the Globe and check out their performance of "Midsummer Night's Dream" but I woke up far too late (I was exhausted) so I'm planning my moves for next week.
I wonder what's going on at home?

Good to hear the homesickness is less of an issue. Not much been happening back here... Watched Don with Erin on Saturday night, so I've had my first taste of Bollywood. And to top off my brilliant week some idot ran into my car while it was parked and now I can't use the driver side door and have to crawl across the passenger seat to get in. Buggers didn't even leave a sorry note.
Anyway, I'm going to go to bed and try to sleep off my grumpyness.
*hugs* Keep enjoying your travels hun.
Heya hon. Glad to hear you watched Bollywood with Erin. I watched some today with Desh.
Sorry about your car. How's the thesis?
