The first night I arrived in London I was very sick :(
Believe it or not I crashed at 330pm and did not wake up til about 11am the next day. So as you can imagine the first two days werent that great for me.
The weather was actually alright. It had its moments where it would rain and get cold but otherwise I thought it was nice and sunny.
I really miss Miami weather though.. infact I think I miss Miami all together. I received an sms from Derek who is still there and said that people at the hostel have been asking for me and pple are missing me *AWWW*
I MISS THEM TOO!! i had such a blast .. seriously!!!
Back to london.. i met up with Steve and we did the hop on/hop off bus tour which was pretty good. So I saw the Big Ben.. Buckingham palace.. London Bridge etc etc. London bridge is not what you think it is!! the one that we always see in marketing material is actually called the Tower Bridge!
I really should upload fotos very soon cos the fotos I took were so good!! Not that im braggin but seroiusly.. i took one pic of the river thames and it was totally postcard potential hehehe.
i dont think i could ever live in london.. its kinda dull and grey and very serious. Even the pple arent that nice either.
BUT my favourite has to be Notting Hill. It was more surburban feel. I went there because they have a huge market called the Portebello markets which was mostly antiques/vintage and then food and some new stuff. The area in general pretty much looked like the movie!
I met a chick by the name of Rebecca who was from Brisbane who stayed in my dorm. She was so kewl! we hit it off the first night we met and on my last night we both went to see my HighSchool friend Gabs!
Gabs and her friend Marilyn (who is SUCH a darling) took us to a salsa restaurant/club called Floritda in Soho. IT WAS FKN AWESOME!! I am SO determined to learn salsa when i get back now.
We had a really nice dinner, followed by some daquaries *mmmm* and watched marilyn get her groove on with a couple of guys. Unfortunately we dont know how to salsa so I had to sit down - DAMNIT!
All the streets in Leicster Square and SoHo are closed off at night to cater for party goers and it was amazing to see all the clubs and bars hidden in laneways full of people walkin the streets.. cabs (london has funny lookn cabs) and carriages. it was like i stepped right into an english movie!
So all in all... london was nice.. wish I coulda had the saturday there too so I could of spent more time with Gabs. But unfortunately my itinery is getting shorter and shorter.
London was great.. not somewhere i could see myself living in but would go back for Soho and NOtting Hill anytime :)
