whew - its been a long day since we left at 9:30 last night - 15 hours ago. The flight upgrade was pretty sweet with inflight beds to recline - still only slept for three hours though. There was alot of fancy food to eat! Once over London, we were advised of a 'threat' at our Terminal. A bag was left with unknown contents and the whole terminal was evacuated. They let us land anyways. A bus took us from the plane into the airport where we were told to exit through security, instead of continuing straight to departures for our connection. We then found that departures was closed and the entire terminal was FULL of stranded travellers. After five hours of waiting, they reopened the terminal but cancelled all flights including ours. \yikes. No bags, no hotel, no flights. hmm. The best solution was to walk over to the HILTON; they were full and all other surrounding hotels too. We lucked out and shared a taxi with two others to a hotel in Central London near \hyde park. \nice. Its a Hilton too! Dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe to fuel up (its 11:00pm and we hadnt eaten since being on the plane). Flights have been a challenge but we have secured Egypt Air for tomorrow. Who knows if our bags will be there. We are told they will be ....someday. We should arrive in Cairo by 10:00pm local time and not miss our trip into the desert (tomorrow was supposed to be our free day in Cairo). So - this is true vagabonding. \just the clothes on our backs and not much more!!! Cheers
