After lazing in our room for the morning, about 12pm we caught the hotel shuttle bus to Stansted Airport train station for the 50 minute trip into London. At Liverpool Street station, we came above ground and went across the road into the Railway Arms pub for a pear cider and some people-watching to break up the journey. About 2:30pm, we left the pub and took the Underground to Tottenham Court Rd and came up an exit right beside the Dominion Theatre. I was able to collect our tickets early, so that avoided queuing later. We had time to kill before meeting Jo, Shelley and I walked around the block a few times looking in shops and found a place to eat, Cote Brasserie in Charlotte St, which had a good Pre-Theatre menu. We settled in ... read more

It's the second to last day of my trip and I finally left on time. I’m starting to get the hang of this. I caught the Metro and made it to the airport by 8:00 am, almost two hours early for my flight. Nothing was open when I left the hostel so I only ate a croissant from a stand in the Metro up until that point. I picked the healthiest thing I could find at the airport which turned out oddly to be a chicken salad from burger king. Before I boarded the plane I messaged a friend who lives in London. We actually met in Japan in 2015 when we were both travelling. We planned to meet up around 5:30 pm. The flight was uneventful other seeing many other La Tomatina participants with their ... read more

This being my last publish about London I will combine everything that happened for like 4 days in whatever order I feel like just because I can. I love Soho it is like the average mans town area I think. It has the cheap pubs, good pubs, theaters, and lots of shops. So I would spend a lot of time in Soho just wandering around. On one particular day I was out wandering during breakfast time and found a cool looking place called the Breakfast Club. Naturally that being one of the greatest movies ever I had to check it out. Very little to do with the movie but a little. Anywho it was a nice little place to get breakfast and I got myself a full English breakfast, and I tell you what it was ... read more

This is my first attempt at a travel blog since Landon has come into my life. My last blog was when I was 6 months pregnant in Australia. Even that one was more challenging to complete (I fell off somewhere around Surfer’s Paradise)- due to pregnancy brain. Just kidding, I think it was more to do with the fact that it finally stopped raining the last part of our trip, but anyways . . . I’m finally blogging about the first two weeks of our six week adventure in London. Let's just say, between work and play, it's not as easy as it used to be to sit down and blog these days. Since we live in Los Angeles now, we took advantage of the fact that I had some work with Reebok outside Boston and ... read more

Hi Everyone - Mummy got the blog back today :-) but not for long as we are off to the tower today so I am sure the kids will have lots of stories! Had a wonderful Sunday in London hanging with friends and seeing the sights. Got to have breakfast with Rachel, Morning tea with the Robson's and dinner with Alice, now that is a wonderful way to spend a day. Oh we also went to Buckinham Palace, Piccadilly circus, Hamley's toy store, London Eye and Southbank so not a bad day of sightseeing either. Funny thing happend on the way to meet the Robsons, organised to meet at Buckingham Palace at 11am (as you do) and arrived to find quite a large crowd - changing of the guard so that was also a nice little ... read more

Track title: Inside Out Artist: Paul Cantelon Reach home half an hour ago. I realised that summer in Europe have longer days, compared to Asia, which took me awhile to get used to it. 9.47PM and the Sun was still up there.. about to set though. Anyway.. I almost forgot about the dinner that Kin (Stephane's partner) is preparing; Risotto with roast vegetables, which turns out to be not bad! Earlier today, I went to meet Simon, a friend who lives nearby Turnpike Lane tube station. We had coffee over at Costa, just opposite the tube station, and after which chilled at his place till afternoon. Simon is a freelance DJ artist, and he has some really wicked mix, which I asked him for some of his tracks. I went back home to prepare lunch (London ... read more

What better way to forget a past lover than to throw yourself into the dating game. Within two nights of returning to London I had been asked out to three dates, I have to admit this made me feel rather smug with myself. Date # 1 Chris the funny man was someone I had met a few months prior and we had kept in casual touch over facebook, he contacted me upon my return and we met at a small bar in Kensal Rise for open mic comedy night. Chris is a really relaxed person and I found the conversation to flow easily. He works in Marketing for a local Italian chain and moonlights as an amateur comedian. As interesting as I found him, I was not attracted. Not tall enough, small mouth (though very big ... read more
