Ye Olde London Town Part 2

This past week I headed back into London, this time with a tour guide. Meaning I wont get lost and I will know what to expect.

I went around to my tour guides house aka Clair at around 10.30ish to begin the trek to Watford Junction. We bought an all access pass giving us complete romage of the London Underground and the return trip to and from London, not bad for £12 ($26).

The day was spent catching Tubes, walking and checking out the sights of London. We saw Pall Mall, which I got extremely excited about as its the annoying street from Monopoly AND the annoying street I need on my McDonalds Monopoly game board. Going on further we checked out Trafalgar Square where there were NO PIGEONS. I repeat; NO PIGEONS. There were a few trolloping around so I chased it trying to get a picture with one; that bastard really didn't want his picture taken.

We saw the guards that never smile and move; well, I MADE the guard move wether it was intentional or not. I was standing getting my picture taken when he suddenly turned on me making me jump. I think I was in his personal space. Either that or he was looking for a knuckle sandwhich for lunch.

Buckingham Palace was very touristy. Huge building with tons of police surrounding it with even more tourists standing about. Downing Street was heavily cordened off, but looking through the bars you got a generally good idea as to what its about. Big Ben is awesome, standing high above everything, I didn't get to hear a chime from it though.

We went for lunch at a place called Camdon Town. Well known for its 'Alternative' shopping. Its a place where Punk lives on and Goths prey at night. Awesome shops were hear and the Chinese wasn't to bad either. Our final destination was the biggest toy store in the world. 7 stories of toys, toys and toys. This was probably the best place. It was so big and awesome. Afterwards we headed back to Piccadilly Circus, grabbed an italian style ice cream sat down in the middle to rest our aching legs before trekking it all the way back to the train station to catch the train homeward.

Overall a good day, probably the last sight seeing I'll do of London, but saw all the major landmarks and gotta good idea of what London is all about. Weird is normal in London. Infact Japanese tourists where taking pictures of my freind Clare because she dressed 'Dark'. Very Amusing.
