Hi Everyone! Yes I am still alive (just been really busy and it has been difficult to find internet). I am back in London again but I need to catch up on the past few weeks.
I arrived in London on Saturday 3rd October (wow that was ages ago). After finding my way through the maze that is the tube (and not very user friendly for those silly enough to be dragging suitcases) I met up with my cousin, Julia, who had moved to London a few weeks earlier to work for a year. We stayed in a hotel near Oxford Circus so it was pretty central in London. For part of my dinner that night I had the best hommus I have ever had - I could have just kept eating it, so tasty! On Sunday we thought we would do some shopping and headed straight to Harrods. We spent a few hours there and I bought a few things in the gift shop. We went to an italian restaurant for dinner and I had beautiful bruschetta (Jade I think you would have loved it, it was so good) and cannelloni. (Note: Julia has a twin (Paula) that is
still back in Brisbane so she sent Julia a 'Paula' doll so she could go on holidays with Julia. So that explains the photo with me and Paula).
On Monday (5th October) it had started to rain which I guess is not great surprise for London. We did a little bit more shopping and I bought myself 2 pairs of gloves which have come in quite handy (haha me so funny). I said goodbye to Julia and made my way to meet up with Damian where we were staying with his friend and fiancee (Gavin and Teresa) at Greenwich. We took it pretty easy for the rest of the afternoon considering it was still a bit wet and me and the boys played RockBank on the playstation. Good fun!
Tuesday was another lazy day. It was nice to have some down time after the first couple of weeks of go, go, go. Plus it was still raining. We did manage to venture out that night and Damian and I went on a Jack the Ripper Tour in London. It was pretty good and we went to some places that looked pretty dodgy and I would never walk around
there if I wasn't part of the tour. They even showed us some of the photos of Jack's victims, pretty full on stuff.
On Wednesday, Damian, Gavin and I visited the Greenwich Observatory and checked out the Greenwich Meridian Line. Gavin took us to the O2 Stadium (previously the Millenium Dome) and there wasn't much happening there but we went to a tapas place for lunch and had a little feast. We all went to the local pub for dinner, perfect way to end another good day.
