5 weeks before my last day at work!

I can't believe it, another 5 weeks to go before we leave, and I am so bored at work...I can't wait to travel and start this travelblog, so I am doing it anyway even though I haven't even left my desk! I should really be working right now but my mind is already travelling! Actually how does my company allow me to access a travel blog? Every other blog website is banned big time!

It has been so quiet at work lately that I can say with confidence that I am an expert in various areas including the different backpacks available in the market, how to pack my backpack, what vaccinations to have before going, what type of sandals, trainers, sarongs, insect repellent, first aid kit, sunglasses, sun tan lotions, trousers, shirts, skirts, underpants to include in my bag. I have read every blog, every website about backpacking...well this is kind of an exageration but you know where I am coming from, right?

Well Matt and I just bought our backpacks online. No sign of it yet...could be too big or too small but I've been told it's never too small. One thing I learned from reading these million forums and websites is that you have to travel light. I am going to try and apply the rule! After all, when you are married you don't need to impress your man anymore by wearing smart clothes! I am sure Matt will agree that the fewer clothes I wear the better! So I am sorted.

Here is a quick summary of what's to come...so that you can keep track of our whereabouts!

Before the real big trip

• 20th April - last day at work for me, Matt is one week earlier! (not fair!)
  
• 21st April - 1st May - moving stuff to Wales, getting stuff ready and organised for the trip (accused of being just like Monica in Friends, that's something I quite enjoy!)
  
• 2nd May - 9th June goodbye trip - France and Italy
  
• 10th June - 16th June back to Wales, packing our lovely new backpacks with as little as possible in them
  
• 16th June - Muse concert at the brand new Wembley Stadium
  
• 17th June - BIG DAY - DEPARTURE TO NEW YORK 10.30AM
  
  

The long and winding road to Australia

• 17th June - 20th June 3 days in New York
  
• 21st June - 18th September 3 months in Brazil
  
• 19th September - 18th November 2 months in the US/Canada (east coast to west coast by car)
  
• 18th November - 24th November a few days in Tahiti with my Tahitian/Colombian friend Maruia
  
• 25th November ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY...START OF OUR NEW LIFE!!!!!!!! =
