For the next few days I was very busy. On Friday I went to a classy tea with John. We felt slightly out of place but had a ton of fun. It was more of a modern tea and we were some of the only people in the tea room. The other people there were actually part of a record company who were discussing who they represented, and who they were going to pick up. John works for a radio station at home, so he knew everything they were talking about it. It was very interesting to listen to them! The next day a group of us went to Notting Hill to shop. Well the past few weeks have just been like regular life in London! This is what I wanted- just to live regular life here! People have started to plan their final trips and its begining to make me really sad! I never want to leave here! Tomorrow I head out to Galway, Ireland for St. Patrick's day. Almost everyone is leaving this weekend. When I get back I am going to try and do one activity around the city a day. This weekend wasnt very eventful. I made dinner for some of my friends, which ended up being a ton of fun. Last night my friend made me dinner, too. I'm begining to cook new things! I was dragged out of Paris kicking and screaming. I never wanted to leave but London was calling and my Eurostar ticket booked. The trip under the channel was uneventful and all too short. We all wanted to sit and enjoy the trip but two and a half hours is just not long enough. After the initially bum fight to get our bags on board with the hundreds of others it was very comfortable. I found it amusing prior to leaving that we went through immigration with French men and their beautiful accent and then after 3-metres hit the English immigration with 2 women with what sounded like the broadest English accent I had ever heard. So London is basically just the same as I left it! I've met a ton of great people and already stopped off at some of my favorite places from this summer. Today I went on a boat cruise and part of a bus tour. On the tour the tour guide said that William and Kate were going to the War Horse premiere tonight, so me and two other girls decided to go. We ended up seeing Stephen Spielberg and William and Kate there!!! It was so awesome! What an unreal trip already!... read more

It was dark. It was also cold. There were very few signs of life, though the occasional house had a bathroom light on, and a minibus full of Eastern European men drove past on the way to an early start to their working day. In the main though, it was just darkness and beautiful silence. Or at least, that’s how it was in the outside world, but through my ears the sound of Hot Chocolate’s ‘Heaven is in the back seat of my Cadillac’ was pounding ruthlessly. One of the many functions of the MP3 player is that, if you decide to get out of bed at 4 o clock in the morning, you can use it as a tool to wake you up without disturbing the normal people who are still asleep.
