Hello!
Welcome to our blog. Those of you who followed me (joe) last summer will be familiar with the setup, for those who are new to travelblog.org then this is where you'll be able to read all about mine and Jenni's adventure as and when it happens, fresh off of the press. (ie. as regularly as we can when we find a computer!).
We're planning to travel from New Delhi India to Hong Kong China using nothing more than planes, cars, boats, boots, public transport (not excluding rickshaw), luck and good will! :) A bit more detailed of an itinary is as follows:
4th Oct: Fly to New Delhi from London
5th Oct: Hopefully land in New Delhi with our bags and everything!
6th Oct: Begin our northern India guided tour taking us from New Delhi to Kathmandu in Nepal. Along the way we're stopping off at the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort, spending a day or two on the Ganges and then camping next to it!! Riding elephants in Nepal and having an Indian cooking lesson in Varanasi.
20th Oct: (no, of course I'm not going to give a day by day account of the trip, that could take all night!) Arrive at in Kathmandu for the end of our tour.
24th Oct: Start our Trek in Nepal from Jiri to Lukla, 9 days in total.
2nd Nov: Fly from Lukla back to Kathmandu at the end of the Trek.
7th Nov: Leave Kathmandu for the start of our tour through Tibet.
14th Nov: Tibet tour ends in Lhasa and we fly down to Lijiang to arrive at Mama Naxis guest house
28th Nov: Fly to Guilin (or when we get bored of Lijiang but apparently it's somewhere people never want to leave so we're flexible on this)
7th Dec: Train or flight to Hong Kong (budget and time depending)
12th Dec: Jenni's birthday (send a card to London, we'll be back on the 14th!)
14th Dec: Back home (see, I told you)
Obviously this is missing out lots of juicy details but we have to leave something for you to come back and read! Along the way we hope to take a good photo or two of some of the sights we see and we'll be posting the 'best of' on the blog. In the mean time, here is our Itinary in pictoral form:
If you want to comment on our blogs then the messages are always much appreciated, especially when feeling home sick, and if you want to send us a private message then you can do that on here too. I hope you'll enjoy following our adventure as much as we do following our map :)
Bye for now,
Jenni and Joe
ps. There will be no prizes for spotting spelling miztakes or bad Grammer! :)

Have a wonderful time and enjoy every minute of it, lots of love to you both, love from Gran and Grandad.xxxx
