Over the past 48 hours, Diane and I have mastered the London Tube system, explored the greater London area, discovered the delights of sticky toffee pudding, and slept maybe 10 hours in 3 days. Yesterday we were so exhausted that we skipped our blog for the evening but today could not be skipped.
Early this morning, on the coldest day of our journey so far, we headed out on the District Line tube towards Victoria Station to meet with Andy & Tim from Bahamarama. After tea and a long talk at the historic Goring Hotel, we parted ways with great excitement over the project we'll be working on together. Business taken care of gave Diane and I an afternoon to go exploring. A brisk walk to Buckingham palace to see the changing of the guard, a stroll through St. James park over to Big Ben and the Parliament Buildings, and then we were off for a bird's eye view of London on the London Eye. My oh my! The panoramic view of London from 135 meters above the ground was spectacular. It took 30 minutes to complete the revolution on the wheel of the London Eye.
Just across the
Thames river was Westminster Abbey. While we did pop inside to view the intricate stain glassed windows and remarkable vaulted ceilings, Diane had a date with the royal vault so we quickly headed off to Tower Hill
A few minutes before closing time, Diane and I made it to the Tower of London in time for her to drool over the crown jewels.... three times around the moving walkway was barely enough to satisfy her royal highness but she bought a book on the treasures so that she can take her dreams home with her.
Tomorrow we are headed to Dublin for the weekend, since it is a travel day we probably won't blog but we love comments so post some!

HI, from warm S. Florida!
Hi Guys, Did you Tube today? I expect Diane to come home with the schematics to the Tower of London so she can plan her next caper. I heard that you also visited Stonehenge. Did you see any Druids or was it to cold for them? Sounds like you are having fun, while the rest of us slubs are working. All is well here. Love from B,B,BB.
