Why sit at home, when you can be out there getting yourself aching legs and hurting feet?
K and I first went to explore the local camping site, which turned out to be like a perfectly tended English garden. The lawn was cut with scissors, and the hedges were shaped using razorblades, at least it looked that way. The site was nearly empty since the tourist season hasn’t really begun yet. But if you want to camp with a great ocean view, this is the place!
An older man with a walking stick, who seemed to have walked the Cornish paths his whole life, showed us the way to the coastal path. It went along the local football pitch, which had like a 45 degree incline to one of the goals. So if you decide to challenge someone in football here, be sure to pick the right side! After a while we got to the path, and walked along the seaside for an hour. We hadn’t intended to walk that far, so we were a little bit short of water, but we just couldn’t stop and turn back. The weather continued to be so beautiful (in spite of the
forecast, which told us the opposite), and so did the views!
K got a little red, as always, but after all, it was a lovely walk in a scenic landscape. In the evening we thanked ourselves for our great venture and treated ourselves with the pubs most expensive dinner in the pub; the rib steak! Unfortunately it was barely eatable… But to be positive, after we’d exercised our legs, we now had the opportunity to exercise our teeth…
