George
This picture was taken at the start of the walk at Portleven Drove down to Porthleven from Totnes on Friday and this is where George and I started our short holiday walking the coastal footpath. I had previously walked the path from Lands End to Porthleven a while back and wanted to carry on so as to explore the rest of the South Cornwall stretch. The weather was ideal for walking on Friday; not too hot and with a bit of a breeze to keep us cool. On this first day we walked to Kynance Cove, a distance of about 12 miles. The walking was relatively easy with not too many ups and downs and with wonderful vistas that were most uplifting.
On Saturday we walked round Lizard Point, the southernmost tip of Britain and then up to the fishing village of Coverack, a distance of about 12 miles. I would describe the walk as strenuous and plenty of drinking water was required as the sun shone most of the walk. Once again the scenery was spectactular
We are staying in a bungalow in Falmouth overlooking the harbour and today we decided to have the day off resting and enjoying the delights of this very vibrant sea port. We are off
again tomorrow where we hope to reach Helford

I love Cornwall!!
Hello John and George...this tour looks so interesting and I immediately thought of when we were there in 2008 and we travelled down to Cornwall to stay with John's rellies. We did a little bit of tripping around in the short time we had available, but there were lots we didn't get to see. I know we did get to Falmouth on one occasion. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
