My Front DoorMy Front Door
My Front Door

After the great snow of 2009!
Hardly a struggle! Not here in London town. Or as my "location" says, Cambridge. I was there last week, so I thought I would use it so as not to sound repetative with always "Greater London - Bloomsbury"

Anyways, I mentioned I visted Cambridge last week, famous for it's prestigious college. I will give them that it is very beautiful, as far as the town goes, I prefer Oxford. I'm going to make like Bill Clinton and get there some how, except I'm going to inhale! (just kidding!) Cambridge is about 2 hours north of London (by coach) tucked away in the middle of Cambridgeshire. The names of counties are usually straight forward here. Cambridge is in Cambridgeshire, Oxford is in Oxfordshire, York is in yorkshire, Gloucester is in Gloucestershire, Leicester is in Leicestershire.
*** Lesson on pronunciation of English counties: Gloucestershire, we must resist the temptation to say 'glow-cester-shy-er' we actually bypass an entire syllable, saying 'GlAs-ter-sure.' Leicestershire is not 'Lee-ces-ter-shy-er' but rather 'les-ter-sure.' Berkshire, which is where Reading is (sorry kids, no Readingshire) is prononced Bark-sure. Go figger!

So much to chat at you with! I know it has been so long since I have done one

Frozen over
of these, for a while I really completely gave up on it, it does take a considerable amount of time, and I am destracted enough as it is. But reading over some of my old ones, I was really glad I put it down. Not to mention, if I get enough press, maybe I can be the next Perez Hilton. I'm very excited that some people are reading this that I have never had the privilage to meet. Hello to the English teacher in China, and the woman that thanked me for the La Rochelle blog, I hope you have a lovely trip! This is, in a way, sort of what I want to do with my life, only I would like to get paid for it.... so, if anyone wants to advertise on my blog feel free [to contact me first]. Not really sure Travel Blog will allow it, but I will move if I have to.

........... I got dreams, sheesh.

So how many of you have heard of the great snow of 2009? There was a night where we got the most snow London has seen in almost twenty years. The snow at St. James

park went mid calf level. That is a good ten inches! [I'm trying to break myself of the imperial system.. no luck] I'll put some pictures up so you can gawk. If all my Floridian readers are jealous, just remember that I have very cheap boots, that are not water proof and I almost lost a toe.

BREAKING NEWS:
I will be home 24 April - 6 May. Please take a moment, even if it is just a moment to come visit me. I will have my old mobile number again well I am there. Because I am only home for two weeks, this really limits the time I will have for doing things, most of this time is reserved for family. Seeing as I have 2 houses to split this time amongst already. Please, don't take offence if I cannot travel to where you are, I know there are some people I would love to visit (Kelsey, Coral, Casey) but I really cannot. This event is featuring a guest appearence by Mr. Christopher Tuhy.

We are rapidly appraoching Spring I hope, it is starting to feel a bit warmer lately. My computer is telling me it is

currently 11C so that is in the lower 50's F. Does anyone know if the ground hog saw his shadow? Someone is failing on keeping this ex-pat posted on all things American. I hope he didn't see it, the faster spring comes the better. Because that means spring break, which means Mummy comes for visiting!!! I do however, have so much work to do before then. 3 papers, a speech, and some readings and other odd ended assignments. This article and essay class is really taking it out of me. What do I hate doing? Writing essays. What class do I take? ESSAY WORKSHOP! Jesus Christ Superstar. He's just cranking them out of me.

I MISS CASEY

I got my hair done. Full fringe, dyed a bit lighter, with streaks of Red in it. It was mostly free, so I thought why not. Chris got me these gift cards to The Oracle in Reading, which is pretty much the mall there, I was picking out all these crazy coloured tops and I just looked at myself in a bright blue peasant blouse, with huge sleeves, and my hair all crazy and I thought... I'm turning in to Phoebe

from Friends. And its great! A year ago, I would have never done something like that to my hair. I remember almost crying before dying just half my head to a darker shaded red. Now, I don't care what colour it is. I do eeny meeny miny moo in the Nice'n'Easy section, and voila, that's my winner. Moral of this story: Having a boyfriend makes you not care about looking weird.

I'll try and get some pictures of it.

But now for homework, because this weekend starts Thursday... and I want to enjoy it!

Observation: I think I'm going crazy, but I'll look good on the way down.

You mentioned me! I feel so special. That snow sounds crazy!!! It must be one of those "see it to believe it" kinds of things. I miss you.
