The British Museum was amazing, especially since I was able to find the Anglo-Saxon section and photograph everything I possibly could. I was extremely geeking out during that time. I think the greatness of the exhibits can only be explained through the photographs I took (which will be uploaded at a later time).
Most of the time I spent by myself in the museum so I could go at my own pace, but I did join up with Hillar, his wife, his son, Mike, and Tall Paul. We toured the upstairs first, and then once we worked our way downstairs we took a break and had some lunch (the guys serving us were complete morons when it comes to ringing up the prices).
The best part of the day came when I got on the train to go visit my friend Tess in her home town. We had a wonderful dinner that her mother made, and I even got to try some South African-style tea, which is probably the best tea I’ve ever had (honestly!). Tess and I watched some Red Dwarf (great British sitcom) and also Stranger Than Fiction, which is the best Will Ferrel film I’ve ever seen where he DOESN’T make a fool of himself.
It was fantastic being able to finally geek out with someone else who enjoys Transformers as much as me. ESPECIALLY one that loves Rampage just as much as me! That, and Tess also loves Sylar from Heroes, double points! Hehee!
