Journal Notes: Photographs and Slideshows.

Apologies for the delay in publishing anything new; I have been either ill in bed, working my way through a pile of translations, at home or exhausted for most of the last six weeks. I'm writing a new journal at the moment, From Hell on Earth to the Moon of Dreams., which will be ready next week.

In the meantime, a bit about the diary itself. The same information is true for all "bloggers" on TravelBlog - the ones which I have recommended (there is a link to them on my front page) have some fantastic photographs and stories.

Boxes - The boxes to the left of each journal allow you to leave comments (which I'm always grateful to receive and which will appear at the bottom of the entry), or to subscribe (TravelBlog will send an email each time I publish a new journal - I try to write a new one every two weeks.) You can unsubscribe using a link in that email.

Photos - You can enlarge any photograph by clicking on it, which will open a separate page. Some - like the one of St. Michael's monastery in this diary - look much better full-size.

Slideshows - Clicking on the "slideshow" icon at the top-right of an enlarged photo will begin a slideshow of all the photos from that diary.

Photo ratings - If you are a TravelBlog member, you can give each photo a rating (out of five stars), by clicking on the stars which are also at the top-right of each enlarged photo. The highest-rated images become part of each country's slideshow.
