After a horrible flight with major turbulence (plane sick suprise suprise) we made it safely to switzerland! Caught the train from zurich to lucerne, then a bus to our hostel to wash up. It was late afternoon and we were both exhausted, so we went for a little walk, did some grocery shopping (planned to make our own meals cos switz is so expensive), then came back. We were in awe of how beautiful lucerne was with the swiss alps and snow at the tops. Was a clear day when we arrived but we were silly not to take any photos and left it to the next day...... which turned out to be cloudy and raining :(.

BTW our hostel is tiny and up until today me and ash were the only non asians out of 24 guests. Nothing against asians but jeez they were annoying and i had to tell them to be quiet LOL.

So anyway yesterday it was raining the whole day.. disappointing because we really wanted to go to the top of mount pilatus and see the alps and go across in a cable car. BUT we still had fun exploring the old town, walking the chapel bridge across lake lucerne with its beautiful flowers.. and we were lucky tuesday is market day! so we bought some swiss cheese and had it for lunch... delicious!!! We fed swans (dont think we were allowed to, got some funny looks), took photos, etc.

Today we were counting on the weather being fine so we could go to the mountain, UNLUCKY again - too many clouds covering the mountains. Worst thing is that tomorrow we leave for belgium and it is going to be sunny up to 28 degrees the next few days! Soo instead we went to a folklore show with a four course meal for lunch. It was an experience haha.. lots of yodelling, dancing with brooms/spoons, playing interesting instruments.. A mad cow (someone dressed up) came out among the tables and pretended to lick people. WEIRD but funny hahah. We had cheese fondue (yum) salad, bratwurst with fried potatoes (wasnt a fan) and a strawberry icecream desert! After the show and lunch we walked the city wall, had some great views and the sky started to clear up slightly so we could see some of the alps. Then I treated myself to some swiss truffles.. amazzzzing!!!

Switzerland is beautiful, the people are so friendly, and me and ash r talking about possibly coming back at the end of our trip after Munich before England (which is our last stop). OK time to pack up my things!!

Bye for now x
