First picture is a taster for the sunsets at the end....make sure you get there.... March 25th is Tranedagen - 'Cranes' day in this part of Sweden (100 miles NE of Göteborg). It celebrates the coming of Spring signified by the arrival of the crane on their journey North after wintering in Spain. At the beginning of the week there were 40 crane, on Friday there were 5,100 (they count them as they fly off on an evening). Well we finally made it across to Sweden, apologies for the lateness of this blog entry surprisingly internet cafes are hard to come be in Sweden. After arriving on Wednesday in Stockholm, we dont think our jaws have closed, and it hasnt been the architecture or history that weve been amazed at. At least we know why were so good looking! Anyways back to Stockholm, while staying in our hostel in the Old Town (look it up!) we spent our first day taking in the sights, smells and girls that Stockholm has to offer. Deciding to get a hop on hop off ferry ticket we went around a few of the islands. So, this year I've decided I deserve some vacation :) Not knowing exactly where I want to go or what I want to do except travel around and do what I feel like for a while, I bought a one-way ticket to London a few weeks ago. The rough plan is to leave for London on friday the 15'th of July, spend the weekend there and probably go somewhere south the next week. Either by train (Dover-Calais) to Paris, or some flight down towards the Riviera. I wasn't too happy about what happened in London today, lets just hope nothing more happens and I don't have to pick somewhere else to go, that would be just great... the only destination I have booked and they blow it up :( If I arrive at London ok I'll ... read more
