the main drag
We started our adventures this weekend on literally no sleep, after Sarah and I sharing a bed and having to be in golders green for our bus at 2.45am! No dramas with our flights etc and we arrived to an absolutely stunning morning in stockholm tho very cold at 7 deg! Clear skies and super crisp! Beautiful! After checking into our hostel we dumped our bags and headed into the city to begin our day! We stopped in at a cute lil cafe for lunch tasting the local cuisine which was yummy! Had a yum chicken noodle stirfry and Sarah had lasagne! Good start! We then wandered the streets and found the most amazing swedish chocolate and sweets shop which very quickly became our local! we found these amazing choc balls that were filled with whipped egg white and sugar!! Melt in ur mouth goodness!!

After induging alot we continued wandering and headed to the vasa museum! I didnt really kno what to expect here but it was so impressive! The vasa sunk 1500m from shore in the 1600s and then was discovered and pulled up to shore 333 years later! The whole boat is now in the museum pretty much all intact and its 95% original tho is reinforced and coated with protective varnish type stuff to continue to preserve it! Its just anazing what incredible condition it is still in after so long under the sea! They also had a section for the passengers bodies that they discovered parts of and some they have reformed their faces again and they look so real! its crazy! After analysing the bones they could apparantly tell things like trauma in their lives and even the type of diet they had. The museum was very impressive!

After increasing our historical knowledge we went for our 2nd hot drink of the arvo to warm up and regroup! :-) Did a bit of window shopping and then headed for an earlyish romantic dinner literally by candlelight at a swedish restaurant! It was really nice but i cant say our date had riviting conversation as by this stage our no sleep was startn to catch up with us! I had an amazing caesar salad and sarah had pork, neither of which were swedish so we had to have swedish apple pie for dessert! Yum! We then wandered back to the hostel and had an
