We can’t help but smile as we always do as we pull up outside Laguna Golf apartments. I don’t think I will ever tire of that view or the feeling we get as we walk through the entrance into the apartment. We get changed quickly, not wanting to waste precious drinking time, and head out to a restaurant for a few celebratory (or commiseratory?) drinks. After a gorgeous meal and some more red wine (this must be what happens when you turn 31), we head up to Las Mimosas for an after dinner aperitif, then back to the flat to enjoy the remainder of our grey goose vodka which we remember we have left in the cabinet.
The rest of the week seems to go by as quickly as it arrived. Once again we are blessed with sunny, cloudless skies and enjoy it by sunbathing by the pool or beach during the day, and relaxing with a gin and tonic by night. It’s gutting to have to leave again, but at least we know we will be back again soon enough. We go to see the Faith on our last night and they do not disappoint as usual. I can't
wait to see people's faces when they turn up to play at our wedding in no shoes and a tutu haha.
Our ferry from Denia has been brought forward by an hour, so it means we have to leave at the painful time of 6am. Thankfully Denia is only a 2 hour drive away, as I don’t think either of us could have faced the prospect of driving any further. The set up for the ferry is really back to front to say the least. When we go to queue up to get on the ferry, we are told that it is only the driver who is allowed to drive onto the ferry, and the other passengers have to walk on by foot. I really don’t understand what difference it makes but whatever. 3 hours later and we’re here, “back to the Island” as the vengaboys sang many years ago.
