Imagine, if you will, a world where people start their day comfortably at a moderate hour, say 9 or 10am. Upon arrising, you go through your morning routine casually. Maybe you have some cafe and toast, or maybe you leave the house early and get some breakfast on the way to the park. Desayuno (breakfast) is cheap, like 3€ about, and usually includes a bocadillo, bebita, y postre. (sandwich beverage and post-meal ie. desert) You stroll through the park and enjoy the sights before heading to work or school or whatever it is you do.
Your job or school is very relaxed. Everyone is laid back, polite, and generally having a good time with it. It lasts for maybe 4 or 5 hours before its time to go home and experience the best part of your day.
The siesta is the greatest invention ever.
Yes its time to go home and sleep for a while. An hour. Two. Hell, three even. Simply take a break, relax, and recover from your heretofor ´tough´day... for later on you´ll need your energy. After your siesta the world is wide open to you; have a light dinner, go for a walk, study a while, explore the city, whatever you like. Then its off to the bar for some drinks and good times with your friends.
You can call it an early night if you like around 1 or 2, or stay out until 3 or 4 or 5.... it doesn´t matter. The nice part is you´ve already had your siesta, so if you only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep after your fiesta its all good. Tomorrow you´ll get another siesta and you´ll be refreshed and ready to meet the day.
Its good to be a Madrileño.

hey fenton, my adress is niles2209@yahoo i thought jo gave you that note. kim wants to try her hand at fantasy also so hopefully there is an extra space. it would make it better for me. this way i can watch all the football i want and maybe she will be interested because something is in it for her. p.s. i didnt win the lottery. just found out.
