Another short trip has come to a close...three days ago I flew out from Italy and into Barcelona, again with Emily. This time we experienced quite a few problems at the airport..such as delayed flights and fears that Corey had not arrived on her flight from the united states. At the end we were united though and all was well...we came to our beautiful hostel in Barcelona and slept for the evening.
The following day we walked around the center of Barcelona looking at live statues and people selling animals and jewelry and clothes on the streets. We looked at Gaudi buildings and then came back to the hostel in time to make ourselves a lovely dinner before staying up with other travelers at this hostel for hours on end talking and joking and playing cards and the like. There are other Italians here too, which has been excellent for my practice of the language..they are from Milano, so I have now heard that dialect as well, and I must say that I feel like it is comfortable as well.
This morning we took an early train to a town called Figueres where there is a famous Dali museum..it really was quite amazing, the collection and the sort of museum, it was a work of art in itself. We also walked around the city and looked at the marketplaces and small Spanish streets. In the evening we went to Park Guell here in Barcelona, took a stroll, and are now back at the hostel again preparing for tomorrow when we return to Italia.
We will be in Italy for 4 days and then Corey and I head to India...I cannot wait, yet I will be so incredibly sad to leave Europe and especially Italy as well. It has been such an unforgettable experience here, I cannot even begin to describe it properly. I regret nothing of this trip though, truly amazing.
Well, just wanted to update while the computer is here for me to use. From Italia I will try to write again before heading the the hot lands of Northern India.
To everyone, blessings..
