Hi, everyone! So after my wonderful day in Bilbao, I boarded a train that, to my surprise, was first class! It was so nice. I had so much room and slept for 9 hours all the way to Barcelona! I arrived there and it was pretty darn hot. I followed Marie´s directions to her home (where I am staying) and immediately upon arrival, took a nice, long, 4 days in waiting SHOWER! It was great. Following that, Marie cooked me and 5 of the girls staying with her, the most amazing amazing breakfast you could ever imagine :) The girls were very nice... all Americans studying in Italy for the summer and on holiday for a bit to Spain... fun!
So, some of them were going to the beach and some of them shopping... i picked the beach... guess what... it was a nudist beach! Fun! we travelled about an hour to get there and it was very interesting to say the least!
I´m sure you´re all going to ask so I just might as well... yes, took just the top off, but that was it... a little nerve racking, to say the least, but we adjusted! It was
fun... Saw a bit more than I wanted to see at times though! Very different.
We rushed home and I rushed to shower for Jamie Cullum... that was so awesome! I got there just in time and it was in the BEAUTIFUL outdoor, woodsy ampetheater to die for.
I just loved it. He was absolutely fantastic. For those of you that know him, you know his studio albums. He was so creative and fun and energetic. He even got the front 2 rows to come and dance on stage with him! yes! I did it too since I was in the second row! It was so fun. I got some great picutres!
So, then I met the girls out in the city and we actually met up with 2 italian boys that we were talking to on the train.
They were funny and the language barrier, well, you know I enjoy that! So, we went to a place called the Black Sheep (highly recommended by all) for the BEST sangria! A huge pitcher cost 8 euro! Awesome! We went through 4 with 8 people. Oh boy... The girls had to catch a bus to their flight
back to Florence, but I stayed out with the boys for a while. Ok, then there was something that happened that will officially go down in the book as my most embarrassing moment in history. I actually debated if i should put this up or not! Well... I´m going to at severe risk!
So, a LITTLE tipsy on Sangria, I went away from the boys for a moment in the park and didn´t see a fountain (it was off)... it was kinda like there were bushes, then grass, then a little rock wall and then the water, but the water was green (note for later ew) so it kinda blended in and it was not well lit. So, i was walking on the rock wall and stepped down onto what i thought was pavement, but it was certainly not. Not only was it water, but it was water that went above my head... so, yes, i fell in... all the way in. Good thing no one was watching cuz i immediately jumped out, grabbed my pack off and threw my camera onto the ground (which was in my pack in a plastic bag... whew... so was my journal). So,
then I had to go back to the boys! Argh! They were pretty drunk so I just pulled it off like I went swimming, but that wasn´t the case. So, I took a taxi home and disenfected myself and everything I owned that was on me. So there it is ladies and gentleman... hope you enjoyed that one!
It is the next day now and I´m headed to Parc Guell for the afternoon as soon as I finish my laundry... hope you had a good laugh... talk to you soon...
:) Jess
