Africa Mercy has arrived in Santa Cruz deTenerife! The sail went well. We had three days out of the 10 days which were warm and sunny. We saw whales, dolphins, flying fish and sea turtles. I didn’t realize how far the fish flew over the water. They are not very big and fun to watch. Sunday worship was on the bow. The dock here is great. It is a long cement road with an elevated walkway just a few feet from the gangway. The temperature is in the 80's with a breeze. It will be so nice to go for walks without having to dodge trucks and questionable characters. Most of the crew will probably go ashore as soon as we are allowed. There is no curfew while we are here. We should be here about six days. It will be a busy time, but my schedule in the dining room is still every other day while we are here. More later…
